Sobiesław Zasada
Sportsmen (athletics, member of national team in years 1949-1951, since 1952 car sports), businessman, born on the 27th of January in Dąbrowa Górnicza, married (Ewa), one daughter (Aleksandra).

Achievements:
3 time gold medal winner of the Europe rallies in 1966, 1967, 1971 (World Championship now a day)
3 time silver medal winner of the Europe rallies in 1968, 1969, 1972
11 time gold medal winner of Poland rally
Winner in 148 auto rallies

Participated in such World’s Gran Rallies as: London - Sydney, London - Mexico, Vuelta del America del Sur, Gran Premio Argentino, Safari, Press on Regardless, Monte Carlo, The Alps Cup, Acropolis and others.

Factory Driver:
Steyr Puch (3 years), Porsche (5 years), BMW (2 years) and Mercedes-Benz (3 years).

Calendar:
1967 – received Praise from a Foreign Secretary of for the sportsmen who made famous the name of Poland abroad.
1967 – winner of the  „Przegląd Sportowy” plebiscite – as the best polish Sportsmen

1973 – together with Longin Bielak took part in  Monte Carlo rally test driving Fiat 126P in the most extreme winter conditions the difficult alpine passes.
1973 – 3 time world record winner in long distance routes, 25 thousand km, 25 thousand miles and 50 thousand km (Polish Fiat – captain and team initiator, in force: Andrzej Aromiński, Jerzy Dobrzański, Andrzej Jaroszewicz, Robert Mucha, Ryszard Nowicki, Franciszek Postawka, Marek Varisella, Sobiesław Zasada)

1977 – formed the manufacturing company Alpha in Cracow.

1981 - 1986 performance consultant to Porsche AG.

1990 – became a general representative and distributor for Mercedes Benz in Poland
1990 -  forms network of  15 dealerships and car services of Mercedes-Benz and Chrysler.

1993 – starts forming Automotive/Industrial investment group Grupa Zasada (factory Star S.A., Autosan S.A., Jelcz S.A. and other manufacturing and industrial companies

1995 – received a Super Champion Award  from a president of Poland Lech Wałęsa for the sports results and social and economic activity (In 2001 - Irena Szewińska received a Super champion award from  the president Aleksander Kwaśniewski).

1996 – received “Kisiel award” of weekly "Wprost" – as the pioneer of polish enterprise

1997 – in the age of 67 takes part with his wife Ewa being a pilot in World championship  eliminations, in East African Safari rally in Kenia, driving Mitsubishi EVO N group, finishing on the second place, gaining 6 points to the world championships.

2000 – received a Cross Polonia Testituta from the Aleksander Kwaśniewski.
2000 – winner of the most popular sportsmen for the 50 years of PZM plebiscite

2001 –  recognized as one of the 20 best sportsmen of Poland of the XX century from the team of "Przegląd Sportowy", members of PKOL and sport journalists: Waldemar Baszanowski, Zygmunt Chychła, Bronisław Czech, Kazimierz Deyna, Jadwiga Jędrzejowska, Teodor Kocerka, Halina Konopacka, Robert Korzeniowski, Zdzisław Krzyszkowiak, Jerzy Kulej, Janusz Kusociński, Stanisław Marusarz, Janusz Peciak, Zbigniew Pietrzykowski, Janusz Sidło, Irena Szewińska, Józef Szmidt, Ryszard Szurkowski, Stanisława Walasiewicz, Sobiesław Zasada
2001 – received a prestigious Honorary degree "Kalos kalghatos" from the Jagielonski University
2001 – the name of Sobiesław Zasada was addend to the Star Alley in Cetniewo

2005 – took part in the transatlantic regattas ARC 2005 Canary Islands – Small Antilles, where He won in the amateur catamaran category, and was 19th (out of 223 teams) in the general classification.

2006 – winner of the„Rejs Roku” award for the ARC 2005 regattas  – the highest honorable mention of polish sailing.
